Pratt Wrestling Club placed 29 wrestlers at Great Bend Roger Richter Memorial Tournament Jan. 7th.
Kadence Riner and Koda Dipman each went 3 and 0 with one pin and to take first place. Devon Weber and Justin Mortiz each took firsts with a 2-0 record and one pin. Also placing first, Lucus Baker went 3 and 0 with 3 pins.
This was the second tournament of the season. Pratt wrestled tough and gained some valuable mat time.
The club dominated at Valley Center Novice Wrestling Tournament Jan. 8th. Pratt took seven wrestlers and all seven wrestlers placed in the top 3, with a combined total of 17 pins.
1st placers-Blake Winsor with to 3 pins, Trace Melhorn with 2 pins, Brett Winsor with 4 pins.
2nd placers Cody Mortiz with 3 pins, Iziah Cook with 1 pin, Bryce Winsor with 3 pins.
3rd place Maddox Riffey with 1 pin.
Novice wrestling is for first and second year wrestlers and is a good opportunity for young wrestlers to gain experience.
