Pratt High School senior Sarah Mason completed her high school golf career yesterday with a 17th place medal at the Class 4A State Golf Tournament in Hutchinson.
Mason, who qualified by placing sixth at last Thursday’s regional in Colby with a 100, has participated at the state tournament the past three years.
At the state tournament yesterday, held at The Highlands golf course, Mason shot a 102 to finish in a four-way tie for 17th place.
Brooke LaRue of Topeka-Hayden won the individual title with a 75, helping her team take its second straight state championship with a total of 348, 63 strokes ahead of second-place Concordia.
At the regional tournament, Pratt finished fourth as a team with a 453.
Ulysses (401), Concordia (414), and Russell (426) took the three team qualifying spots.
Pratt junior Jordi Garrett was 16th overall with a 111, just five strokes out of an individual qualification for state.
Junior Samantha Snell shot a 120 for 23rd place, while classmate Ellie Eastes carded a 122 for 26th place.
PHS seniors Brianna Houdyshell and MaLea McEachern shot 126 and 127 for 27th and 28th places respectively.
