A Mulvane man was charged Tuesday in connection with a double homicide after two bodies were found in a Wichita home on Thanksgiving Day.

Sam Holton, 18, was arraigned in a Wichita court and charged with pre-meditative murder, felony murder and aggravated robbery, court officials said.

Wichita Police investigated a double homicide Thanksgiving Day after one of the victim’s sisters discovered her brother and his live-in friend shot to death in their home. The sister went to check on the couple after they did not show up to Thanksgiving dinner, police said.

Pharon A. Jackson, 26, and Jessie M. Foust, 25, were found slain. Two boys, ages 1 and 4 belonging to the couple, were found in the home unharmed, police said. Officers said they believe the couple were killed Wednesday night.

A 17-year-old from Wichita is also being held in connection with the deaths, though no formal charges had been filed through the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office as of Tuesday afternoon.

Both suspects were taken into custody Saturday night, police said.
