February 19, 2019: SOAP #3365:   Numbers 5-6; Psalm 22; Acts 26

Scripture:  Psalm (NIV) 22:27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations.
29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him"those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn"for he has done it.

Observation:   What a great psalm!   David is going through a hard time and feels forsaken.   As he describes his troubles, the Spirit fills in the inspiration to describe the suffering of Jesus on the cross.

He ends by declaring the greatness and goodness of God!   His praise should be declared by all people; dominion belongs to God!   Generations who preceded David praised the Lord; as will those who follow!

Application:  This is big!     What God is doing is big!     It is bigger than my troubles.   It is bigger than this generation.   It is bigger than any nation.   It is bigger than any power wanting to dominate the whole world!     Tyrants cannot stop it!     Death cannot stop it!     This is BIG!

Prayer:   LORD Jesus, dominion belongs to you, and to you alone!   I am humbled to be a part of your great kingdom.  I am humbled to have a personal relationship with you, the eternal God of all creation.   May I have some little part in bringing you joy. Amen
