Scripture: 2Corinthisan (NIV) 6:16 What agreement isthere between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the livingGod. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and Iwill be their God, and they will be my people.”
Observation: In mylimited travels, I have had the opportunity to visit temples in India, SriLanka, China. Entering those temples, I sawlifeless statues and objects on which the worshippers focused their attention. Whata difference is found in Christianity!!!
The temple of God is not a lifeless building, but a living person! In the temple is not a statue, but theLiving God! Prayers are not offered to alifeless idol that cannot hear, but to the God who hears, understands ourprayers, and answers with love and wisdom!!!
Application: I am a temple of the LIVING GOD! In me dwells the 'living God!' He is alive today and living in me. He is not the God who was alive, but the GodWHO IS ALIVE! It is good to know whatHe has done in the past"it is better to know what He did yesterday. He is still alive and acts like He isalive. He is doing what we would expecta living God to do! When people visitthis temple (me), they should expect to discover something current that theLiving God has done/is doing!
Prayer: Holy Spirit, so work in my life that peoplewith whom I come in contact will know that the God in me is STILL ALIVE! You are alive today and interacting with whatsurrounds me. Amen
Making friends for time and eternity!
