Scripture:  1Corinthians (NIV) 8:1 Now about foodsacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up,but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet knowas he ought to know. 3 But the man who loves God is known by God.

Observation:  Knowingand loving"both are important but what a difference.  Knowledge can make us proud.  True love makes us humble.  We can be proud of what we know.  But when we love we become aware of howlittle we know about the focus of our love. We ever desire to learn more about what we love.  Walking in love, we use our knowledge tobetter serve the ones we love.

God's knowledge of those who love Him is limitless.  If He desired, He could use that knowledge todestroy me, but He uses it in love to correct me and build me up.

Application:  To be known by God!  What a comforting and inspiring thought.  The one who knows me best loves me most!  He knows the difference between my reasonsand excuses.  And He uses that knowledge formy benefit.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, what a blessing"to know thatYour knowledge of me is complete.  I trustyou!  I trust your leading.  In your wisdom and love you work througheverything for my good.  May my lifebring you glory.   Amen
