Patrick "Pat" Aloys Hitt, age 41, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 3, 1970, in Pratt, the son of Era Eugene "Gene" and Rita Elizabeth (Struckhoff) Hitt.

Pat was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and was also an EMT-I for Township 12 Rescue and Fire Department. Pat was an agent for The Hitt-Agency Farm Bureau Financial Services and owned and operated South Central Pest Control.

On Feb. 10, 1996, he married Cheri Terese Bata at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Jamie Walter Hitt of Pratt; a daughter, EmaLee Alise Hitt of Denver, Colo.; his mother, Rita Hitt of Pratt; three brothers, Ray Hitt of Pratt, Joe Hitt of Wichita, and Jeff Hitt of Garden Plains; four sisters, Leanne Irsik of Lenexa, Rhonda Westerhaus and Becky Eastes, both of Pratt, and Nancy Schwarz of St. Angelus; and his two beloved dogs, Indy the Underdog and Maggie the Magnificent the IV.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 332 N. Oak St., Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Floyd McKinney presiding. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School or Pratt High School Band in care of the mortuary. Friends may leave condolences for the family at
