Bonnie Louise Stoops, age 96 died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at South Wind Hospice Home in Pratt. She was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Sharon, to Arthur and Alice (Rhea) Guthrie.

Bonnie was a member of the Sawyer United Methodist Church, the Sawyer Women's Group and Order of the Eastern Star.

On Aug. 15, 1936, she married William 'Bill' Ray Stoops in Cunningham. He preceded her in death August 1983.

Survivors include one son, Gary (Teresa) Stoops of Lafayette, Ind.; five grandchildren, Angie (Jay) Mies of Pratt, Lori (Ryan) Japp of Colorado Springs, Colo., Cory Stoops of Wichita, Derek Stoops of Lafayette, Ind., and Grant Stoops of New York, N.Y.; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Allen and wife Eldonna Stoops; a daughter, Mildred Louise Stoops; her parents; five brothers, Tom, Cecil, Gail, Wilbur and Lloyd Guthrie; and three sisters, Nellie Rose, Elsie Matthews, and Marjorie Rockwell.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the mortuary, with Dr. Dan Ferguson presiding. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer.
