A semi carrying a wind generator turbine misjudged the corner at First and Main Feb. 23 and ended up on the sidewalk in front of Skaggs Ace Hardware.
A semi hauling a wind generator blade got hung up Tuesday morning at First and Main in Pratt as it attempted to make a left turn from First Street to South Main.
While maneuvering to clear the intersection, the semi tractor scraped against the new planter box in front of Skaggs Ace Hardware and actually got up on the sidewalk where it left tire marks on the new sidewalk, said Russ Rambat, city utilities director. The semi suffered a broken headlight and a bent front bumper. The intersection was blocked for several minutes. The driver was cited for the incident.
