PRATT, KS — Robert “Bob” Edward Epp, 83, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center.  He was born April 11, 1934 in Pratt the son of Paul R. and Dorothy C. (Richardson) Epp.  On July 15, 1956 he married Suellen Eastes.  She preceded him in death on December 25, 2015.

Bob served in the Army from 1956-58 then was in the Army Reserves for 4 years.  In 1958 he started working for Rock Island Railroad as Brakeman then Conductor until his retirement in 1993.  He started Epp Construction and Rental properties while he worked for Rock Island and continued that even after retiring from the railroad.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a former member of the Pratt Lions Club and was former Board Member of the Pratt County Lake.

He is survived by a son, Vince (Dawn) Epp of Pratt, two daughters, Cathy (Leo) Hergenreder of Pratt and Lisa (Pete) Schartz of Larned, a sister, Betty Hoeme of Pratt, 11 grandchildren, Erin (Bryan) Kirby, Elyse (Nick) Birdsong, Jace Parkhurst, Zack Urban, Megan Urban, Kayla Urban, Sammy Urban, Chad Schartz, Jamie (Chris) Froetschner, Lane Schartz, Mason Schartz, and 6 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul G. Epp.

Private family inurnment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt at a later date.
