PRATT — Patricia Logue Swisher, 94, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Parkwood Village in Pratt.

She was born September 15, 1923 in Pratt County, the daughter of James and Dorothy Logue. Patricia spent most of her life in Pratt, but did live for a few years in Kingman and Wichita where she graduated from North High School.

On August 10, 1943, she married Fred Swisher, Jr. in Boston.  She and her sister, Beulah Mae, traveled from Kansas to Boston by train so that Patricia could marry Fred while he was on a short leave from the Navy.

During WWII, Patricia worked as a secretary at the Pratt Air Base and even worked for a short time as a riveter at Beech Aircraft in Wichita.

She and Fred had three children, Gail (Bruce) Tackett of Pratt, Jan (Rocky) Arnold of Manteca, California and Phil Swisher of Arlington; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. After her children were grown, Patricia worked for many years at Pratt Regional Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Logue; sister, Beulah Mae Fincham; and her husband, Fredrick.

Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt with Tom Walters presiding.  Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
