IUKA — Sally Leean Prosser, 65, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was born July 31, 1952 in Hutchinson to Donald “Pete” and Billie Louise (True) Messick.  On September 18, 1971 she married Maurice Prosser in Odin, Kansas.  He survives.

Sally worked at Pratt Community College for 23 years and then the Pratt County Courthouse for 4 years.  She was a beloved friend to many people and loved being a foster mom to many college kids.  She enjoyed camping and supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities. Her greatest love of all was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice of the home; son, Brad (Jennifer) Prosser of Pratt; daughter, Elesa (Doug) Veatch of El Dorado; sister, Doneida (Bob) Baker of Great Bend; and four grandchildren, Dalton and Riley Prosser and Chase and Drew Veatch.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Messick.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Pratt with John Hamm presiding. Graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
