PRATT — William ‘Howard’ Ward, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his home in Pratt.  He was born December 23, 1927 in Stafford, KS to William R. and Margaret Lucille (Jenkins) Ward.  On February 8, 1948 he married Doris Swafford in Pratt. She survives.

Howard had worked in the parts department for many years at Woolwines in Pratt.  In 1977 he owned and operated D & H Auto Parts in Greensburg for 8 years, then he sold the business. He was a member of the Pratt Friends Church.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, a son, Gary Ward of Pratt, a daughter, Sharon Fletcher of Palestine, TX, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Danny Lee Ward, a brother, Dwayne Ward and a sister, Dorothy Overfield.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.  Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Pratt Friends Church with Pastor Mike Neifert presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, KS.
