PRATT — Charlotte “Charlie” G. Theis, 77, passed away on September 5, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. She was born September 27, 1940 in Turon, KS the daughter of Keith and Evelyn (Kelly) Welch. In November of 1956, she married Larry Truitt. In their early married life, Larry and Charlotte lived in western Kansas, Stafford, and then settled in Turon. Larry died on November 16, 1981. On March 3, 1984 Charlotte married Kenneth Theis at Cunningham, KS.

Charlotte was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Pratt and the Twilight Study Club of Turon. She was an active member in the Turon Community serving as an EMT, City Clerk and Librarian. She was the anchor and backbone of Western Auto Farm and Home Center and Town & Country Catering, Turon. She loved to read, and her favorite phrase was “So many books, so little time.”

She is survived by her husband, Ken of Pratt, a brother, K.C. (Melba) Welch of Wichita, KS, a sister, Brenda (Rex) Banta of Chicago, IL, her children, Clay Truitt of St. John, KS, Rodney (Karen) Truitt of Hutchinson, KS, Mitch (Kaydene) Truitt of Turon, Angela (Mike) Bradshaw of Medicine Lodge, KS, Jim (Amy) Theis of Hutchinson, Molly Theis-Morgan of Cunningham and Russ (Lyndel) Theis of Pratt, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Susie Fetterman and husband Larry.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Vigil/Rosary will be Sunday, September 9th, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael Klag presiding. Burial will follow at Langdon Cemetery, Langdon, KS.
