Pratt High School football remains undefeated with a 55-0 offensive blitz over Larned last Friday.
The Pratt High School football team defeated Larned 55-0 at home last Friday night.
The offensive onslaught began in the first quarter as Brett Winsor and Travis Theis each scored with Daniel Sanchez making both kicks, bringing the score to 14-0. Theis had a total of 157 rushing yards in the game while Winsor had 98 receiving yards.
The 2nd quarter was even more successful with the Greenbacks scoring 4 touchdowns in total. The score was 42-0 at the end of the 1st half, triggering a running clock for the rest of the game.
Theis scored his fourth touchdown of the night in the third quarter and brought the score up to 49-0, with Sanchez’s extra point.
The Greenbacks put one more touchdown on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter from Derrick Roadhouse. He had a total of 8 rushing yards on the night.
Kadence Riner lead the team in tackles against Larned with 7 total: 4 solo and 3 assists.
They totaled 308 rushing yards and 138 receiving yards and ended with a 55-0 win.
Halfway through the season, Pratt remains unbeaten with wins over Hoisington, Halstead and
Hesston, in addition to Larned.
The Greenbacks play again this Friday at Kingman. The Kingman Eagles are 1-3 overall, with a win over Belle Plain, 56-18, on September 7, 2018.
Pratt returns home to Zerger Field on October 5 to take on Hugoton.
