Mayor Doug Meyer and the Pratt city commissioners presented 2018 employee service awards at their regular meeting Monday, November 19, honoring 15 employees who had worked for the city a combined total of 275 years.
"I am especially thankful for everybody who comes to work and does their job every day," said commissioner Lucas Kumberg. "I think we are the exception to have so many employees with years tendered over 20 as we have."
Employees recognized included the following: 10 years - Ed Gimpel, police officer; Gary Crotts, power plant; David Dyche, sanitation; Kevin Brown, sanitation; Taylor Schmidt, volunteer fire fighter; Doug Ray, volunteer fire fighter; 15 years - Aleta Eastes, payroll accounts; Dan Decker, volunteer fire fighter; 20 years - LuAnn Kramer, city clerk/utility billing; Jimmie Koontz, line distribution; James Ferbert, police officer; 30 years - Jay Angood, wastewater plant superintendent; Kelvin Clay, water superintendent; Bruce Pinkall, recreation director; Roy Sinclair, street superintendent.
