Holly Rooks has been named the new executive director for the South Central Community Foundation
The South Central Community Foundation board of directors is pleased to announce Holly Rooks as their new executive director. Current executive director since 2013, Bekki Pribil is retiring from the foundation after many years of leadership.
South Central Community Foundation was founded in 1994 with a goal of establishing a perpetual funding streaming via endowed funds for Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice and Stafford counties. They provide scholarship opportunities and community impact grants.
“On behalf of the foundation, we are excited about the selection of Ms. Holly Rooks as our next executive director. Holly has been with the SCCF for nearly 5 years, and during her mentorship has shown the unique ability to grasp difficult parts of administering a community foundation. She has demonstrated the skills, knowledge, enthusiasm, and temperament to be an outstanding director. We are delighted she has accepted this opportunity. We also want to thank Bekki Pribil for her exceptional leadership these past five and one half years. She has overseen tremendous foundation growth, and we wish her the very best in retirement. Rooks brings a strong background to SCCF,” said Lance Dixon, Chair Elect.
Rooks is an active community volunteer, serving as the Marketing Committee Chair for the national community foundation conference advisory committee and she recently joined the Pratt Leadership Board. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Young Professionals of Pratt.
“I love the communities SCCF serves! I am incredibly excited and honored to continue my journey with the Foundation as Executive Director. I look forward to being a part of the effort in making a positive difference for people living in South Central Kansas,” Rooks said.
Rooks grew up in Kiowa, Kan, graduated from Emporia State University in 2012, and was a member of the 2013 Pratt Leadership.
