Kenneth B. Sutton of Allen, TX went to his Heavenly Home on April 9, 2019. He was a good and faithful servant. Kenneth was born Easter morning, April 20, 1930 in Elk City, OK to Zacharia Lyn Sutton and Clara Colclasure Sutton. In his youth, Kenneth’s family moved often as Zacharia was a Singer sewing machine salesman; they lived in many small towns in Oklahoma and in the Rio Grande valley in south Texas. After graduating high school, he performed rope tricks on horseback with two friends, and they were know by the show name of “Two Bucks and a Doe”. However, Kenneth realized that he couldn’t earn a living in that profession, so he started working in the natural gas industry. He married Myra Jane Lamont in 1955, and they were married 60 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and he was so proud of his family.

After working 37 years for Natural Gas Pipeline Company, now Occidental Petroleum, the family lived in Colorado, New Mexico, California, Alabama and several locations in Texas. After retiring as Measurement Superintendent over the South Texas Region, they moved from Wharton, TX to Fort Worth, TX and moved again to Allen, TX. Throughout his life, Kenneth always took care of people, both family and friends, and he always said, “You can tell so much about a person by the way he/she treats the elderly, babies and animals.” Willingly and lovingly, Kenneth gave aid all of them. In the past few years, he loved traveling on family trips – many hunting trips to South Texas/Nevada/Kansas, school graduations in El Paso and Las Vegas, family reunion in Lake Tahoe, Calgary Stampede, and an Alaskan Cruise coupled with Alaskan road trip which included a fly-in visit to Denali National Park, seeing the summit of Mt. McKinley and landing on Ruth Glacier. Kenneth was an excellent marksman and enjoyed the outdoors.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myra; daughter, Valeria; brother, Harrold Sutton; and sister, June Sutton Whiteside.

He is survived by son, Craig and wife Amy of Parker, TX; grandsons,  Zachary Sutton and fiancée, Katie Mason of Dallas, Austin Sutton and wife, Megan of Norman, OK, granddaughter, Lindsey Sutton Wills and husband, David of Plano; sister-in-law, Pat Sutton of San Antonio; many adoring nieces and nephews; and four beloved dogs.
