A suspect has been arrested in association with Tuesday night drive-by shooting incident near Iuka.

The Pratt County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a shooting incident that took place Tuesaday near Iuka in Pratt County.
On May 7, dispatch received a call at 9:22 p.m. from a reporting party that they had been receiving threats by telephone, said Pratt County Sheriff Jimmy White.
At 9:45 p.m., the same person called again and said they had heard a vehicle and shots fired in the area of the house that is located in the northwest part of Pratt County near Iuka. Sheriff’s officers and officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.
From that investigation, Sheriff’s officers and Pratt City Police conducted a joint operation where 20-year-old Jonathan Shaffer of Pratt was found on Commodore Street and arrested in association with this case, White said.
He was arrested for aggravated assault, criminal threat, criminal carry of weapons, possession of hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal discharge of firearm.There is no bail at this time and the incident is still under investigation by the Pratt County Sheriff’s Office, White said.
Shaffer is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
