Zach Vandervoort and David Mathes will represent the Greenbacks at state golf next week.

Pratt High School golfer Zach Vandervoort topped all 4A regional competitors Monday, May 13 with a 74 to win first place at the Hesston Golf Course. Vandervoort and teammate David Mathes qualified for the 4A State Golf Tournament to be held Monday, May 20 in ......... Mathes placed 16th at regionals with a score of 86 on the 18-hole course. Par was 71, with a slope of 113 and rating 72.
Also scoring points for the Pratt team, which placed 5th overall out of 7, were Beau Meyers, 25th at 98, Kale Wilson, 32nd at 108, Tyler Reimer, 37th at 116 and Casey Hoeme 38th at 118. There were 42 competitors at the regional tournament.
Going into state, Vandervoort is ranked 4th in 4A with an average composite of 75.8. Number 1 rank Blake Saffell of Wellington comes in with a 71.2 average. Mathes is ranked 29th in the state at 87.8.
The Class 4A state tournament will be played at Turkey Run Golf Course in McPherson.
