PRATT, KANSAS — Earlene Ploger, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center. She was born April 8, 1952, in Cheney, Kansas,  the daughter of Hoyt and Minella (Leewright) Ferguson. On July 31, 1971, she married Mark Ploger at the First Nazarene Church in Garden City. He survives.    

As an infant, her family moved to South Eastern Oklahoma and then in her late elementary school years moved to Garden City. Earlene graduated from Kansas State University with her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Pratt Methodist Church, Lewis Methodist Church, Pratt Pilot Club, and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Earlene battled Muscular Dystrophy from the age of 19.

Earlene is survived by her husband, Mark; daughter, Molly Ploger of Pratt; son, Blake (Nicole) Ploger of Lewis; brother, Russell Ferguson of Manito Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Jaxon and Jemma Ploger.  

She was preceded in death by, her parents, and two brothers, Allan and Lowell Ferguson.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, Pratt. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Cemetery, Kinsley.
