Tuesday not a good day for several drivers in Pratt.
A Pratt man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Pratt. The accident was one of two vehicle accidents on Tuesday, June 9.
The first accident was around 10 a.m. when 58-year-old Frank Sherbon was northbound in the 600 block of North Main in a 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup, crossed the center line and broadsided a legally parked 2006 Chevy Uplander, said Pratt Police Lt. James Sheldon.
The Uplander spun around and came to a stop on the west sidewalk facing the street. The Dakota pickup came to a stop on the east side of the street facing south with the front end on the east sidewalk.
Pratt County EMS transported Sherbon to the Pratt Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. No one was in the Uplander at the time of the accident.
The second accident took place at 5:40 p.m. at Sixth and Taylor. Karrie Von Schriltz, 48 of Pratt, was westbound on Sixth in a 2014 Dodge Charger and was in the middle of the intersection when the Charger was broadsided by a southbound 2018 Dodge Journey, driven by Mark Beach, 30, of Pratt, said Pratt Police Officer Jeremy Stitt.
The Charger spun around and came to a stop facing east with the rear wheels on the curb. The Journey came to a stop on the south side of the intersection with the front wheel on the west curb.
Pratt County EMS was on scene but Von Schriltz, Beach and his passenger, 23-year-old Brianne Creamer, all refused transport.
