Leslie (Les) Milton Brown, 86, died Aug. 5, 2019. Les was the owner of Browns 54 & 61 Skelly Truck Stop, Frankie’s Bait Shop, The B Place, and co-owner of CBH Welding, in Pratt KS. He spent numerous years working in the oilfield welding and hauling rigs with Mar-Mac Drilling Co. and others out of El Dorado KS.  

Les was born July 19, 1933 to Milton and Jeanett Brown in Virgil KS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a 1951 graduate of Hamilton High School, Hamilton KS and A.A. 35 yrs. ago.

Les married Frankie French on June 3, 1956; they were married 58 yrs. until her death Feb. 17, 2015. 

Two children were born and survive him; Leslie Anderson, Okla. City OK and Larry Brown, Abilene KS.  He is also survived by grandchildren Cassandra Kuykendall (Kile), Benjamin and Christian Anderson, great-grandchild Kaylee Kuykendall, niece Ann Hoffine, other nieces/nephews, and friend Doug Kilgariff.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings Berniece Wait and Lawrence Brown.

Les’ favorite song was Sentimental Journey. He now begins his everlasting journey and ends his sentimental journey here on Earth. 

Interment will be in Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton, KS, where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Frankie.
