On the first day of classes for all students in Topeka Public Schools, look for mostly sunny skies with afternoon highs in the mid-80s.

A chance for showers and thunderstorms enters the picture overnight and continues into Thursday, when highs again are expected to reach the mid-80s.

A chance for more showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, when highs both days are expected to be in the lower-90s.

Sunday should be partly sunny with highs again in the lower-90s.
