Patsy Mae (Humble) Jones, 86, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center. She was born April 12, 1933 at the family home in Sawyer. She was the daughter of Harry J. and Mae Marie (Brehm) Humble.

Patsy graduated from Kansas State University in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics. She taught home economics at Skyline High School from 1967-1979. While teaching at Skyline she studied for her Masters Degree and graduated from K-State in 1979. She went on to teach Human Ecology for Salina Public Schools at Roosevelt Lincoln Middle School from 1980-1993. She was a member of Pratt First United Methodist Church, Sawyer Hustler 4-H Club, Century Club of Pratt County Historical Society, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority at Kansas State University, Mortor Board Honor Society at K-State, Omicron Nu Honor Society, American Bowling Congress, Women's International Bowling Congress, Suburban Lanes Women’s Bowling League, American Association of University Women, K-State Alumni Association, Epsilon Phi Sorority in Pratt and Pratt County Fair Association. She enjoyed bowling, reading, cleaning, traveling, playing sports, especially tennis and softball and playing the card games, pinochle and bridge.  She was known for being a creative seamstress. 

She is survived by her daughters, Darci Jones, Kari Jones both of Pratt and Shari (Bruce) Snelling of Newton; siblings, Janice (Bob) Wood of Pratt, Darrel (Kathy) Humble of The Woodlands, Texas and Rita Lakin of Chehalis, Washington; sister in-law, Connie Humble of Sawyer; grandchildren, Jarod (Heather) Tibbetts of Kansas City, Missouri, Jessica (Andrew) Hanvey of Pratt, Kati (Chris) Westerhaus of Pratt and Kylie (Kalin) Johnson of Newton; and great grandchildren, Carter, Harper, Maci, Kase, Nora and Kendyl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harland Humble; and brother in-law, Don Lakin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, Pratt with Reverend Marvin Ewertt and John Hamm presiding.  Burial will follow at Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer.
