List of winners shared for Pratt Lions Club annual fundraising raffle.
Pratt Lions Club members held their annual fundraising raffle this past week, drawing winning tickets from the rotating bin on Wednesday at Parkwood Village.
"We don't have the final numbers together yet, but we did very well this year selling tickets," said Pratt Lions Club President Andy Lee. "We are so thankful for the Pratt community and businesses that support us in this effort. All money raised here goes towards our mission to help people in the community with vision issues."
The Lions Club provides financial support for those needing eye glasses and eye examines, as well as utilizes a vision-testing machine at many school and community school-preparation functions that request that assistance.
"Those needing help to pay for eye glasses or eye examines must go through an application process at the Hope Center here in Pratt," Lee said. "They then send us referrals and we provide support as possible."
At the annual drawing on Wednesday, the winner of the top prize, a half-side of processed beef, was Kevin Melvin, who purchased tickets at the Christmas At The Park event in November in Lemon Park.
"He spent $3 on tickets, so it goes to show you anyone can win," Lee said.
More than 38 prizes were donated by Lions Club members, Pratt area businesses and individuals to round out the 2019 raffle experience. A list of those winners is placed on the Pratt Tribune website and has been released on The Pratt Tribune Facebook page. The Pratt Tribune is also a sponsor of event.
Several Pratt Lions Club members took turns drawing winning tickets on Wednesday, with the top prize ticket drawn by Lee.
