Pratt - Carol Mae Garcia, 74, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 20, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas to John Irvan and Ila Camelia (Meyers) Wright. She was the youngest of twelve children. Carol married Nelson Garcia on December 8, 2008 in Pratt. He survives.

Carol worked as an inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her children and dogs.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassandrea Villegas of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska; sons, Charles Van (Rachel LeJuerrne) Chappell of Wichita, Carl Chappell of Baxter Springs and Travis (Allison) Littlehawk of Centerton, Arkansas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Christopher Robin Chappell, Sammie Chappell and Johnnie Chappell; daughter, Lisa Renae Chappell; and eleven siblings.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at Prairie View Cemetery, Garden City.
