Pratt County Fire and Rescue Department members were on the receiving end of local generosity last month.
As part of the Gratitude Grant received by the Pratt Elks Lodge, the club was able to donate $750 to the department for upgraded lights for their rescue helmets.
The previous helmet lights consisted of one larger flashlight that was challenging to maneuver during rescue efforts. The upgraded lights are smaller and are attached in a more functional capacity. They have the ability to light up directly in front and on the ground at the same time.
Gratitude Grants are the Elks National Foundations way of saying thank you to every Lodge that meets the National President's per-member goal for giving to the ENF.
