Rollover results in fatality

A 2006 Buick Rendezvous sits in a field north of NE 90 Street on NE 70th Avenue after 35-year-old Jacob Davis of Macksville lost control, went in the west ditch, slid across the road into the east ditch the hit an embankment and rolled multiple times. Davis was not wearing a seat belt and ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A one-vehicle accident in northeast Pratt County has claimed the life of a Macksville man.

The accident occurred when Jacob Davis, 35 of Macksville was southbound in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous on NE 70th Avenue and just north of NE 90th Street. Davis went off the road on the west side, went through the ditch then came across the road in a sideways slide and went into the east ditch then hit the embankment and rolled over multiple times coming to rest right side up and facing northwest, said Kansas Highway Patrol Troop Micah Polson.

Davis was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kansas Highway Patrol, Pratt County EMS, Pratt County Sheriff, Pratt County Rescue, Pratt County Fire responded to the accident that was reported at 3:52 p.m.
