Obituary: Rose Wehling


Pratt - Rose M. Wehling, 87, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at Parkwood Village. She was born April 30, 1933 in Pratt to Earl D. and Isabel (Hoffman) Jones. Rose married Darrel Wehling on July 22, 1950 in Pratt. He survives.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Ladies Guild in Pratt. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, cooking, word search and jigsaw puzzles. She was also a pretty good Pitch player.  Rose volunteered at the Pratt Hospital and the Pratt County Museum.

She is survived by her husband, Darrel; son, Jerry (Cheryl) Wehling of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Judy (Steve) Wardrum of Dallas, Oregon; sister, Betty Hoge of Shawnee; son-in-law Ed Segalla of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters in-law, Laticia Jones of Milton, Florida, Beth (Merle) Rose of Pratt and Phyllis Wehling of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Ed Boots of Pratt; grandchildren, Jocelyn Wardrum, Bill (Kristina) Segalla, Brian Segalla, Kristen Segalla, and Bryce Wehling; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Segalla; and brother, Dale Jones.

Cremation has taken place.  Friends may sign the book Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer. If you would like to bring a chair, please do.
