In 2019, the Lady T-Bird softball team made a program debut as a new sports team for Skyline High School. Unfortunately, a second season in 2020 was stalled due to the novel coronavirus.

“[I’m] sad I didn’t get to spend their senior season with these girls,” said head coach Lori Anschutz.

Players deserving of recognition include Kaylee Harbour who played outfield last year for the Lady T-Birds. Kayla Urban was the 2nd baseman for Skyline. This year, Katelyn McGraw and Riley Washington joined the squad. Coach Anschutz said she was excited to help the newcomers learn the game.

Although the Lady Thunderbirds season stopped before it ever really got started, the players and coaching staff were ready to make improvements in year two of the program.
