One of the sadder things about the world we live in is that you're not supposed to eat raw cookie dough. Few people can resist sneaking a bit or two before throwing some cookies in the oven.
But Nestlé Toll House has a solution to this plight, allowing us to partake in eating cookie dough without the risk. Nestlé Toll House Edible Cookie Dough is hitting shelves.
Two flavors — Chocolate Chip (of course) and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Monster, a combination of peanut butter, oats and candy coated chocolate — can already be found on Publix shelves. The Edible Cookie Dough is rolling out to other grocery stores nationwide throughout the summer.
Instagrammer Eric Koenreich (@familyfooddude) was the first to spot the 15-ounce jars last week. After the good news spread, Nestlé Toll House confirmed it on Twitter.

While edible cookie dough isn't new, Nestlé's version makes it a little more accessible for those that can't head to New York City's DŌ when a craving hits.
Thank you, Nestlé. Bakers everywhere salute you.
