When the Geiselman family headed to Walt Disney World on Oct. 27, they anticipated a memorable day of rides and treats. What they got instead was the heartfelt kindness of a grieving couple.
Belle Geiselman, 4, was chasing her father Kyle around the park when she accidentally bumped into a couple.
“I apologized and they responded by asking if they could give Belle something,” Geiselman, 41, said. “Then, the man pulls a gold ring out from his bag.”
The couple told Mr. Geiselman that the ring was a memento purchased during the couple’s trip to Disney World with their own daughter as part of a Make-A-Wish trip.
In an emotional Facebook post, mom Karen Geiselman said that her family was “moved beyond belief that they chose our daughter to memorialize their daughter with.”
“The fact that they choose Belle without knowing her struggles in life brings tears to my eyes. They didn’t know...that this trip was the first time she traveled to Disney without needing a feeding tube for nourishment or an Oxygen mask on the flight. This little gold Mickey Mouse ring will forever be kept as a priceless gift and always cherished.”
