The dozen members of the 12 and under Pratt Batbusters softball team now know what it feels like to be a state champion.
The Batbusters won the ASA C-Gold State Championship, held July 18-20 at the Trusler and White Complexes in Emporia.
Pratt cruised through the tournament, outscoring their opponents 52-4 in six games.
Members of the team were Morgan Bohanen, Savannah Buntemeyer, Taylar Fuhr, Bailey Gillig, Brittnee Hill, Dakota Jones, Ashley Koirth, Jensen Maydew, Hayden Pixler, Lauren Rambat, and Dani Williams.
Pratt finished the summer season with a 45-4 record and several tournament championships.
The Batbusters won the Pratt Shoot-out, held June 6-8 at the Green Sports Complex.
Pratt also won the Blue Aces Tournament in El Dorado and the Winfield State Qualifier Tournament.
Pratt finished third in the Super C 14 and under National Tournament in Dodge City.
The Batbusters also finished the summer as champions of the Wichita 12 and under league with a 13-1 record in league games.
This was the first ever state championship for the Batbuster program.
The 12 and under team was coached by Ron and Dee Hill.
