Winners of Pratt’s Punt, Pass & Kick competition at Zerger Field in September are preparing to take their game to Wellington on Saturday, where they have a chance to continue on to the Team Championship competition in Kansas City at the Denver Broncos/Kansas City Chiefs game on Dec. 5.


Winners from Pratt include Brianna Cruz in the girls division ages 10-11 with a score of 77’3”. In the boys division, Jesus Acosta was the age 6-7 winner, with a score of 71’7”. In the 8-9 group, Sevren Hance advanced with a score of 161’. Brandon Detwiler won the 10-11 group, finishing with a score of 193’7”. Rounding out the field of winners was Tyler Steinert in the 12-13 division with a score of 227’3”.

Both distance and accuracy were measured during the event, with the goal to punt, pass or kick the football in a straight line. The distance a ball landed away from the line was measured and then subtracted from their total distance before being recorded on the score sheet.
