A pair of Medicine Lodge women was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident 7 p.m. Friday, March 25.

Injured in the accident were 19-year-old Melynda McDonald and 20-year-old Sondrya Powell both of Medicine Lodge.

The accident occurred at 7 p.m. when McDonald was northbound in a 2004 Ford Escape on U.S. 281 about one and a half miles south of Pratt. The vehicle went across the road to the west side, McDonald overcorrected and crossed both lanes entering the east ditch and rolled two and a half times, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol accident web site. 

Pratt County EMS transported McDonald and her passenger Powell to Pratt Regional Medical Center. Both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
