On Saturday, June 2, the Sacred Heart Church in Pratt was the setting for the 2:30 p.m. wedding uniting Kimberly Roberts and Christopher Brown. The celebration of the Holy Mass was performed by Father Floyd McKinney.
Parents of the couple are Rodger and Debra Roberts, Pratt, and Glen and Sherry Brown, Little Rock, Ark.
Pianist Dana Hernandez and violinist Tammie Thimesch played a selection of music before and following the Mass. Thimesch sang various selections during the ceremony.
Altar servers were Aaron and Brendan Pribil. Lectors were Amy Black, sister of the bride, and Dr. Alan Pribil, friend of the family. Guest book attendants were Eliana Black, niece of the bride, and Ashlyn Lynch, niece of the groom.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a strapless sweetheart neckline ball gown with appliqué designs on the skirt.
Christina Roberts, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Roberts, sister of the bride, Mandy Funk, Laura Sanders and Carrie Pixler.
Ryan Ellis was the best man. Groomsmen were Joel Lockhart, Nathan Perez, and Taylor Brown and Tyler Brown, brothers of the groom.
Carson Roberts and Alexander Black, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers. Avalynn Lynch, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. Ushers were Ryan Roberts and Philip Roberts, brothers of the bride, Byron Goree and Scott Hudgins.
Scott and Marla Stucky, Pratt, were hosts for the day.
A reception, dinner and dance followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The reception table was attended by Amy Black, sister of the bride, Jill Roberts, sister-in-law of the bride, and Lindsay Holtz.
The bride's grandparents are Marvin and Nancy Schmidtberger, Pratt, and the late Merle and Lorane Roberts. The groom's grandmother is June Howell, Little Rock, Ark. The traditional wedding march was led by the bride's grandparents.
After a honeymoon to Aspen, Colo., the couple is at home in Stillwater, Okla. Kimberly graduated from Pratt High School in 2006, Henderson State University in 2010 and Oklahoma State University in 2012 with a master's degree in nutritional sciences. She is currently at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., finishing an internship to become a registered dietitian. Chris graduated from Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School in 2005, Henderson State University in 2010, and is finishing a master's degree in medical physics at Oklahoma State University, where he is employed as a research assistant.
