Anni Eckhoff, 86, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. She was born June 1, 1926 in Rothau, Czechoslavkia, the daughter of Alfred and Elsa Hüller.
On March 6, 1947, she married C.L."Hap" Eckhoff in Germany, where he was stationed in the Army. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Debby Meyer and husband Craig, Mark Eckhoff and wife Cheryl, and Rosalie Cates, all of Pratt. She had seven grandchildren, Brandon Cates, Dustin Cates, Chandis Dolezal and husband Chris, Andy Eckhoff, Adam Eckhoff, Danica Gaupp and husband Shawn, and Tonia Meyer. She had nine great-granchildren, Jackson Cates, Ethan Cates, Brenna Dolezal, Cooper Dolezal, Holden Eckhoff, Camden Shoppa, Brooklyn Gaupp, Avrie Gaupp and Kirstyn Gaupp. A nephew, Roland Hüller and wife Susanne and their children, Lisa and Lena are in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, her brother Ewald Hüller and sister-in-law, Elfriede Hüller.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Pratt. She owned and operated Anni's Knit Shop for 29 years and during that time taught many people in the area knitting. She also gave German lessons in her home for several years.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary, with the Rev. Michael Schotte officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
