First, the Lady Beavers lost a 3-2 heartbreaker to Hesston; then were bested 3-1 by Garden City.

First, the Lady Beavers lost a 3-2 heartbreaker to Hesston; then were bested 3-1 by Garden City.
Things started out promisingly for the Beavers, taking game 1 easily from Hesston 25-17. Hesston came back in game 2 15-25.
The teams then swapped games again 25-21 and 19-25. In the decider, Hesston claimed the match winning 14-16 in sudden death.
PCC appeared to be the more powerful team, but Hesston skillfully kept the ball in play and utilized doinking effectively.
Scores in the GCCC match were 17-25; 25-19; 14-25 and 20-25. With a 5-12 (2-5) record PCC next hosts Redlands Thursday.
