A pair of Pratt men were arrested over the weekend in unrelated cases of kidnapping and aggravated battery. The Pratt Police Department conducted both investigations.
Tanner Cox, 25 of Pratt, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 5 for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery.
Cox allegedly physically assaulted and significantly injured a white female stemming from an argument on Sept. 30, said Pratt Police Detective and Assistant Chief Jeff Ward.
The woman was admitted to Pratt Regional Medical Center where she was admitted, released and is in fair condition.
Cox is currently held in the Pratt County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
On Saturday, Oct. 6 Adam Christopher Scott, 31 of Pratt, was arrested and booked into the Pratt County Jail on multiple charges including rape, kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, aggravated sexual battery and criminal intent.
Scott allegedly committed a sexual and physical assault at a local residence. His bond is also $100,000. The arrest came after multiple interviews with the victim and witnesses plus the serving of several search warrents.
Police said that while many of the charges are the same the two cases are unrelated. Both men are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
