Betty Jean Osborn, 81, died Nov. 21, 2012, at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Englewood, the daughter of Max C. and Mary (Butts) Klotz.

She lived in the Englewood area until moving to Greensburg in 1952. She had lived in the same house for the past 53 years. Betty was a nurse aide, retired from the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Kiowa County Senior Citizens, the First Christian Church and later the First Baptist Church, all of Greensburg.

On April 23, 1946, Betty married Riley M. "Mike" Osborn, in Meade. He preceded her in death April 22, 1989.

Survivors include three sons Michael "Bud" and wife Margaret Osborn, Mullinville, Kenneth "Buster" Osborn, Kansas City, Mo., and Kevin "Hopper" and wife Diane Osborn, Greensburg; two daughters, Fonda Osborn and partner Judy Burke, Albuquerque, N.M., Teresa Stone-Moon and husband Marvin, Haviland; four brothers, Raymond, Harold, Jerry and Roger Klotz; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren Chandra Stone and Heath Flowers; great-grandson Alakye Stone; and a brother, Larry Klotz.

Funeral service and celebration of Betty's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the First Baptist Church, Greensburg, with Pastor Marvin George officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, at Fleener Funeral Home.
