Marjorie Marie Dishman entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior at age 100 on Jan. 31, 2013, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center. She was born July 21, 1912, at Lyndon to Franklin and Alice Richards. On May 13, 1930, she married Henry B. Dishman at Westmoreland. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1983.
Henry and Marjorie moved around, living in various towns across Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. They made their longtime home in Coats. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Coats.
Marjorie was a cook in many restaurants, and in her later years, was a home care attendant. Marjorie had a love for flowers and birds. She maintained a beautiful flower garden until her health no longer let her. She then spent many hours watching the birds that came to dine at the variety of feeders he had for them.
Marjorie is survived by a son, Thomas and wife Georgia Dishman of Medicine Lodge; daughters, Marilyn and husband David Divine, Sawyer, and Nancy Harrell, Pratt; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry; sons, Ray Dishman and Billy Dishman; and daughters, Lorraine Dibbens and Gloria Ailstock.
Cremation has taken place. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family or the donor's choice in care of the mortuary. Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary assisted the family.
