Lourine Mae Hale, 80, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at South Wind Hospice in Pratt. She was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Pratt, the daughter of M.R. and Lena (Strothcamp) Barnes. On July 19, 1951 she married Richard A. Hale in Pratt. He died May 27, 1993.
Lourine had worked as a CNA at Pratt Regional Medical Center for 38 years before retiring. She was an active horsewoman and loved to take her dog 'Sandy' on horse rides.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry and Dan Hoffman of Pratt; a son, Larry Hale; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Hale of Hutchinson; two brothers, Bill and Catherine Barnes and Rayman and Jolene Barnes, all of Pratt; a sister, June Judd of Washington; four grandchildren, Amy Newby, Dustin and Crystal Newby, Rikki and John Stewart and Jaime Hale; eight great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Jordan, Mary, Jessica, Jackson, Derrick, Devin and William.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Terry Hale and a brother, John Barnes.
There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, with Chaplain Jerry Hodges presiding.
