  • Prattans have another opportunity to enjoy a good meal and support a worthwhile cause. The fund-raising committee of Sacred Heart/Holy Child Preschool has been making plans for the annual dinner and auction on April 6.
The evening begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 and live auction at 8 p.m., all at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Tickets are available at the door, $20 per person or $35 for a couple.
A silent auction will also be held, along with a raffle, for which students have been selling tickets.
The menu for the evening is beef brisket, twice-baked potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli salad, a fruit bowl, and for dessert, chocolate truffles that PTO president Kim Evert promises are "to die for."
Auction items include a big screen television, a steamer trunk made by Sacred Heart Principal James Wessling, bicycles, a charcoal smoker, Royals tickets and the usual collection of items.
The community has been generous, as usual, Wessling said, expressing his appreciation for the donations and support of the school.
Sacred Heart currently enrolls 60 students in preschool through fifth grade. It is funded primarily by tuition, fund-raising and a subsidy from the Sacred Heart Parish.
