The Pratt High School golf team had another nice team finish Tuesday as they took 3rd in a 10 team field at the Halstead Invitational.
The Pratt High School golf team had another nice team finish Tuesday as they took 3rd in a 10 team field at the Halstead Invitational. Their 360 left them only 2 strokes behind Hillsboro for 2nd place in the meet that was won by the host Halstead Dragons (338).
Sophomore Tyler Skaggs was the Frogs top individual finisher. Skaggs was 2nd place medalist, carding an 80 on the short but tight course. Other medalists for PHS were Spence Sullivan (12th 91) and Hunter Walker (13th 91).
Senior Navarre Strapp finished one place out of the medals in 16th shooting a 95. Alec Hampton shot 101 (19th) and Skylar Stalcup posted a 105 (22nd) to round out Greenback results.
PHS head coach Andy Kisner said, “Our underclassmen have started to post better scores. With our home tournament Monday and CKL at Kingman on Tuesday, we are hoping that we can lower some scores throughout the rest of our line-up and get down in the 340 range by post-season.”
