  • A strong storm blew threw Pratt Friday night with winds reaching over 50 mph. When the front came across the Pratt area, it blew down several trees on the south side of the Pratt County Veterans Memorial Lake and blocked the road.
The wind broke off lots of smaller branches and scattered them across the lake.
Wind also brought down a tree that broke through a fence at a residence at Sixth Street and Ninnescah.
Several small branches were down in Lemon Park nothing like the damage at the lake.
The storm kicked up a lot of dust at the Pratt County Fairgrounds but didn't appear to cause any damage to buildings.
In Pratt, lots of trash dumpsters were overturned and lots of small branches came down but other than the one tree on Sixth Street, no other damage was reported.
The storm produced a hail shaft that damaged some crops in the southern part of the county.
