Pratt Community College's Performing Arts department is hitting the ground running this semester with auditions for the first show being Aug. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium.
The first show of the year will be "A Night on Broadway," which is a Broadway musical review show.
The show will have music from dozens of Broadway classics and new shows. It will feature solos, duets, the ensemble and full choir. There will also be children numbers.
Auditions are open to anyone above the age of 5 and people who are planning to audition should come prepared to sing, dance and act.
The actual show will take place on Oct. 18, 19 and 20.
PCC's performing arts department has numerous opportunities for students to get involved through theatre productions, vocal music and instrumental music. There are two vocal music groups for students to participate in, along with the band groups Beaver Jam and the theatre department, all of which perform multiple times throughout the year.
