  • The Pratt High School cheer squad is ready for another year of generating enthusiasm and school spirit for Greenback Nation.
Preparations included attendance at summer cheer camp where the Greenback girls were awarded several honors. The varsity cheer squad were named Game Day Champions, were the Spirit Stick winners, and received Superior ribbons.
The junior varsity cheerleaders were also named a Superior Squad, received Superior ribbons and the Spirit Stick.
PHS had a pair of camp Jump Champions, Christina Fernandez on varsity and JV Kaylee Crawford.
Pratt High can also boast a trio of girls who achieved the coveted and prestigious All-American award. The selection is based upon cheer skills performed before the entire camp. Each girl must do a cheer, a chant, a jump and a dance.
Seniors Aubrey Will and Christina Fernandez and sophomore Addy Smith were honored as All-Americans for their efforts.
Pratt cheerleading is divided into fall and winter seasons. The roster of fall cheerleaders includes the following: Seniors- Aubrey Will, Brittany Steel, Krystal Adelhart; Juniors- Arica Alexander, Lauren Voss; Sophomores- Addy Smith, Klasee Crawford, Taylor Winkel, Sammie Harrison, Miranda Flemming; Freshmen- Kaylee Crawford, Emma Gwinn.
The public will get their first chance to see this year’s cheer squad at the Soap Bowl Friday. Pratt cheerleaders are once again coached by Susan Pixler with assistance from Amanda Wade.
