Pratt Regional Medical Center and the Surgicenter are pleased to welcome Dr. Luis Espinoza. Dr. Espinoza is a gynecology surgeon with special practice interests in comprehensive women's health, and female urologic and gynecologic disorders. He will begin seeing patients at the Surgicenter in Pratt on Sept. 3rd.
Dr. Espinoza grew up in Turon, and still has family in Turon and Pratt. He and his wife, Lisa, have six children: Kayla, 18, Jordan, 15, Gabriela, 8, Mario, 7, Nicolas, 5, and Camila, 3. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, and being with his family.
"We enjoy watching movies together," he said. When asked why he chose Pratt he replied, "I chose Pratt to give back to the people and the area I grew up in."
Dr. Espinoza's approach to patient care is outstanding.
"I try to take care of my patients as I would my own family," he said. "My goal is to help my patients who are suffering from disorders that make their lives uncomfortable, and to bring to them the best quality of life they can have."
"We are so excited to have Dr. Espinoza join PRMC and the Surgicenter and bring back specialty gynecologic services to Pratt and the surrounding communities. He will be a great addition to our surgical team," said Kelly McDermeit, vice president of clinic services.
Dr. Espinoza currently has a private practice in El Dorado, and has several satellite clinics as well as hospital privileges in El Dorado, Andover and Eureka. He plans to work in Pratt three days per week until he is able to transition his practice to Pratt on a full-time basis.
Dr. Espinoza is skilled in vaginal and laparoscopic procedures and is one of three surgeons in the state that performs the Interstim procedure for female urinary and fecal incontinence.
Dr. Espinoza graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed his residency in St. Louis and Columbia, Mo.
