M. Anna (Levens) Staats, 87, passed away Sept. 14, 2013, at Pratt Regional Medical Center.
Anna was born April 26, 1926, in Barber County, the daughter of Adelbert Dow and Virginia Bell (Ray) Levens.
She grew up in Sawyer, but for most of her life, Anna was a homemaker who resided on a farm south of Coats. In the early 1990s, she and her husband, Boyd, moved to Pratt. For the last several years Deseret Health and Rehab, Pratt, had been her home.
Anna was a member of the Baptist Church and had belonged to various women's organizations when she lived in Coats. For many years she enjoyed hobbies like painting and crocheting.
On May 18, 1944, she married Boyd G. Staats at Pratt.
She is survived by her son, Roger, Greensburg; a sister, Edna Bell Studer, Pratt; two granddaughters, Jenny Ohmie and Connor; two sisters-in-law, a daughter-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd; her daughter, Janet; her sister Bonnie, and her brothers, Carl and John Levens.
The funeral service will be 11 a. m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
